In 1992, the late Troy W. Hoops founded TAX R US and started preparing tax returns in a tiny office at the corner of Orange and High Streets in Chillicothe, Ohio.  At the time he saw a need for quality, affordable income tax preparation for the masses.

In the early days of E-File, Troy gave his heart and soul for the notion that a simple man didn't have to pay a fortune for a properly prepared return and peace of mind.  He truly cared for his customers' financial well being and went out of his way to help them in any way he could, within the boundaries of the law.

Today, we carry on those very ideals with an emphasis on not only the proper and thorough preparation of our clients' returns but also the protection of their most vital personal information.  We strive to match the passion he felt for his clients and their well being.
