Taking the example set by Dudley Holman, we all should become involved with our local government. Just showing up at the meetings is an education, one you will not likely forget.
The theme for 2009 is "what are you going to do when the well runs dry, are they going to run away and hide?" (Knowing these lyrics will indicate your age!)
The City of Woodland is about to embark on a multi-story parking garage. The State has already been seen lurking around some of the property owners, asking for them to donate their land. If I had land, I would NEVER donate it to them. Abandoning the present courthouse on Court is going to be a disaster.
