Avoid the Danger Zone

by Bobby Willover

April 15 tax deadline

It’s the beginning of April and you know what that means? No, not that Peeps are going to be disappearing soon but rather that April 15 (Tax Day) is right around the corner. Avoid the hassle of dealing with late penalties by filing your taxes now.

When’s the latest I can e-file?

You have until 11:59pm on April 15 to e-file, but why tempt fate and wait until the last minute? File now and avoid the "Danger Zone." (Get it? Jet fighter ... Danger Zone? You're hearing that song in your head right now, aren't you?)

I can just file after April 15, right?

That’s a negatory, Ghost Rider. Unless you file an extension, the IRS assesses a penalty for late filing if you owe the IRS. If you think you won’t be able to file by April 15, go ahead and file an extension. Better safe than sorry!

1040.com makes it easier to file your taxes or an extension. So don’t worry about the approaching Tax Day and let us do what we do best! We'll be your wingman anytime!
