No, they are not included in the economic impact payment calculation if you still claim them as a dependent on your taxes and they are age 17 or older at the end of 2019.

However, they could receive the $1,200 stimulus amount as a tax credit next year if you do not claim them as a dependent for 2020 and if they file their own individual tax return.

If your child, age 17 or older, files his or her own taxes, they will not receive a stimulus payment as long as you are claiming them as a dependent; their “Dependent of Another” status disqualifies them from receiving payment.
